Describe Your Ideal Group

| November 29, 2010 | Comments (2)

We are constantly looking for new ways to connect people. So what does your ideal group look like? We really want to know. Your idea could be what God uses to help a disconnected person take the next step in friendship.

Our definition of a group is pretty simple. A group is a gathering of three or more people. We expect that as Christ-followers connect with others, Jesus will be seen in everyday situations – be it grocery shopping, basketball, Bible study, or parenting. So share your group idea by e-mailing Evan at evanc@faithpromise.org. Or better yet, complete this worksheet to put your thoughts on paper.

The Bible talks about we should love one another. The home group is a perfect place for us to do this. We can set aside some time each week for others. Yes we all have needs. But some weeks others may need support from you and other weeks you may need support from the others. An ideal home group would be where each person attends regularly, is accountable to the others in the group and is there to support each other. God has created us to require fellowship. The home group fills that need.

Great thoughts, Frank. The vast majority of fp’s groups meet in homes for the same reasons you mentioned. It is through the regular interaction of friends and life-on-life community that I am challenged in my relationship with Jesus.
