Thankful

Being thankful changes our perspective. I could list pages and pages of things I am thankful for.  However, it really is more than just listing all those “things”.  It is about how we see our life, our everyday, our past, and our future. It is a state-of-mind. Even though we know that we should be grateful for just being alive, we aren’t sometimes.  It is difficult when we are restless or things occur that are either out of our control or even consequences of our own bad decisions. Like most things, it is a daily activity that we have to be intentional about.

Last week was Thanksgiving week so it’s easy for most of us to stop and “be thankful”.  The challenge is for us to daily give thanks.  Do we take time every day to be thankful?  As believers, if we can think of nothing else, we can ALWAYS be thankful for what Christ has done for us.  I am thankful for His free gift of salvation, my incredible family, and the opportunities that I am given each day to make an impact for God’s kingdom.  So not only this week but EVERYDAY, don’t miss the chance to be thankful!
