Tricks and Treats: Candyland
Main Idea: In life, there’s more to winning than just playing the game.
Discussion Starter: What is your favorite board game?
Introduction: In life, it can feel like you’re losing sometimes—especially if you are not sure of the next move or how to win. Winning means trusting God no matter what card you draw.
Primary Scriptures: Exodus 2:5-6, Exodus 2:11-12, Exodus 12:31, Numbers 13:31-33
- Have you ever felt like the deck was stacked against you?
- How easy or hard is it for you to move when you know God wants you to do something? How regularly do you feel like God is calling you to move or do something?
- Read Numbers 13:31 The spies lost sight of God’s promise to give them the Promised Land when they encountered adversity. When life seems too much, what promises of God are easy for you to forget? How can you encourage one another to hold fast to God’s promises?
- Has there been a time when you felt like you did what God wanted you to do but, at the time, it didn’t seem to work out? What did God teach you through that experience?
