Sunday Showdown This Weekend!

Hey Promisors,

This year is already off to one of the fastest starts in Faith Promise’s history!
This month we launched a new microsite location at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, and during the last two weekends over fifty college students packed out the small chapel, encountering God in worship and His Word.

God is moving, will you be aware of it?!

The results are in, and the answer was overwhelming from the Core across all our campuses. Promisors resoundingly supported the purchase of the North Knoxville Campus facility and property, which we will purchase in cash following the Leadership Team’s examination and authorization of the property. This will allow us to reach more people with real problems and help them find real love.

Also, God’s New Rivers and New Roads continue with our first showcase weekend of 2018, Sunday Showdown: Battle of the Pastors II. You may remember this incredible weekend from last year, when Pastor Zac Stephens and I battled it out on Super Sunday. This year, let’s Get Others In and invite the people we committed to bring this year.

Finally, in two weekends we will kick off an incredible season of growth with
This is Group! Throughout February, we will share stories from my group and other groups and challenge every Promisor to Get In Groups and see something new in their journey. Do not miss all that God will do this month!

Let’s continue to get in and get on His new rivers of provision and roads of vision this year!

Love you, and see you this weekend!

Correction: New Service Times

Yesterday, we sent out a note about new service times at our Pellissippi Campus beginning this weekend. The correct times are Saturdays at 5:00 & 6:30 pm, and Sundays at 8:45, 10:00, and 11:30 am.

You can always check service times for your campus by going here or through the home page of the Faith Promise app.

See you this weekend!

Merry Christmas Promisors,

Thank you for being and bringing the real love of Jesus to the people and problems all around us over the last month in Love Starts Here. Still, even as we celebrate all God is doing, we are already looking ahead to what God will do next!

In two weeks, Faith Promise will give every community around each of our campuses the gift of The Christmas Spectacular. This experience will feature cookie and ornament decorating, photos with Santa, flight training, and an original Christmas show and story of two elves desperately trying to save one child’s Christmas.

I am praying and believing for 15,000 people to visit our campuses, something that won’t happen without every Promisor seeing and seeking the opportunities to bring anyone and everyone they know or meet in the next couple of weeks.

Grab handfuls of invite cards, and make it your holiday mission to spread the news about The Christmas Spectacular. For specific dates and times at your campus go here.

Also, I am excited to share that we will be releasing the 2018 Faith Promise Devotional book – New Rivers, New Roads, starting December 16th-17th. This collaborative effort is our best yet and will absolutely set you up to take new land in your walk next year.

Finally, we are improving online giving to create a better experience for everyone who supports the ministry of Faith Promise. So, next time you login to give online, you’ll need to create a new account. Once you do, you’ll be able to login to give one time or setup recurring giving. It may take a couple of days, but your past giving history will also automatically transfer to the new account. If you have any questions, please contact us at

Love you and looking forward to seeing you this weekend!

Heart for the Harvest 2017 Begins This Weekend!

Dear Promisors,

On October 21-22 we begin our annual Heart for the Harvest series – a season in the life of our church family that I have been praying for and looking forward to all year long. As many of you know, the heart of Faith Promise Church is to help real people with real problems find real love. To accomplish this vision from our Heavenly Father we need His help and the help of all Promisors as well.

People are desperately searching for something authentic, something true, something real; and Faith Promise exists to help them discover the real Truth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We need to be real people of faith, acknowledge and engage the real problems all around us, and display real love that is permanent, powerful, sacrificial, selfless, forgiving, and accepting of those we encounter. Please don’t miss this three-week series, Real People, Real Problems, Real Love.

The series will conclude with our H4H offering weekend on November 4-5. This is a time of sacrificial giving over and above our regular tithes to further God’s command that calls us to make an eternal difference in our area and around the world. Some of this year’s initiatives will include: planting a church in Cape Town, South Africa, expanding a church in Ludhiana, India, aiding the homeless of Knoxville, renovating our Blount Campus, purchasing our North Knox Campus, upgrading lighting at all campuses, and launching at least one new multisite location. Remember, Scripture tells us no gift is too small in God’s eyes, and He loves a cheerful giver!

As we prepare for the offering weekend I ask you to join me in a time of corporate prayer and fasting for our offering and the future of our church from October 23rd through November 5th. For more information on biblical fasting, you may click here.

Also, on October 28-29 fpKids will be celebrating in a special way at all our campuses with Hoedown Showdown.  Children are invited to wear their costumes and bring their friends along for candy and lots of fun. Many times through the years we have heard stories of new families planting their lives here with us at FPC because of our awesome fpKids ministry. Pray with your kids about whom God wants you to invite and let’s see what HE will do!

Finally, please mark your calendars for our heart stirring Compassion Experience coming up on November 10th – 13th. In it you will experience other cultures, the realities of global poverty, and learn how you can change the life of a child living half a world away. Sign up here to tour one of Compassion International’s mobile units at our Blount and Pellissippi Campus locations.

Love you and looking forward to seeing you this weekend!

Don’t Miss This Weekend!

Hello Promisors,

Throughout our Storytellers series, I have been thrilled to hear from many of you who have shared your own stories with people who desperately needed to hear them. Wow! Thank you for being obedient to our Lord’s command in telling others how He has forever changed your lives and how He can do the same for them.

I believe this weekend will be one of the most important weekends in the life of our church, so please don’t miss it! I believe God will move in a supernatural way at all our campuses as we bring our lost friends and family with us to experience the love of our Savior.  I will be sharing my story of life change, and I ask you to join me in praying that those you invite will be drawn to come and hear how to have the peace and hope that can only come from Jesus!

We will have spontaneous baptisms at all our locations this weekend, so please pray that not only will those who are saved this weekend respond, but many others who have never taken that next step in their walk with our Heavenly Father will also.

Let’s keep pushing on – praying, sharing, inviting, and bringing the unchurched to experience the Greatest Story ever told! See you this weekend with the lost by your side!

Storytellers Series Begins This Weekend

Hello Promisors,

As we turn the page into fall, Faith Promise opens a life-transforming new series called, Storytellers. This four-week Group Alignment series begins September 9-10 and is designed to challenge each of us to tell our story and God’s story to the people where we live, work, study, shop, and play. Throughout Storytellers, we will equip and empower you to “uncomplicate” the conversation of sharing the gospel. In Romans 10:14 we read,

“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?”

Join us each weekend as we look at how to obediently follow God’s command of sharing His Good News to those in our circles of influence.

For those of you who may not be familiar with an alignment, this is when the weekend messages are used in our Groups for deeper discussion and study.  If you are not already in a group, I encourage you to try one out this month so that you can get all that God has for you during this series.

There will be something special available for you in each service at all our campuses this weekend, so don’t miss out!

I love you and pray for you daily.
