Storytellers Series Begins This Weekend

Hello Promisors,

As we turn the page into fall, Faith Promise opens a life-transforming new series called, Storytellers. This four-week Group Alignment series begins September 9-10 and is designed to challenge each of us to tell our story and God’s story to the people where we live, work, study, shop, and play. Throughout Storytellers, we will equip and empower you to “uncomplicate” the conversation of sharing the gospel. In Romans 10:14 we read,

“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?”

Join us each weekend as we look at how to obediently follow God’s command of sharing His Good News to those in our circles of influence.

For those of you who may not be familiar with an alignment, this is when the weekend messages are used in our Groups for deeper discussion and study.  If you are not already in a group, I encourage you to try one out this month so that you can get all that God has for you during this series.

There will be something special available for you in each service at all our campuses this weekend, so don’t miss out!

I love you and pray for you daily.

End Game Series Begins August 19-20

Hello Promisors,

As we all prayerfully reflect on the recent tragic events in Charlottesville, our hearts are broken for our nation. Hate is simply not acceptable in God’s eyes. Racism offends His perfect love, and violence will never be tolerated by Him or His Church.

Sadly, it is far too common for news and social media to be filled with division, hate, racism, violence, death and destruction. None of these real-life problems are God’s will or desire for your life or this world.

God’s endgame for your life is victory!

Ephesians 6:11-12 says, “Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

This week, wherever your walk takes you, stand firm, Promisors, for we must see the world with His Eyes, and recognize the spiritual. We are not here to build a kingdom of this culture, but to welcome in His Heavenly Kingdom of reconciliation and restoration for everyone.

This weekend in our sermon series, End Game, we begin a month-long look examining the reality of spiritual warfare through the lens of a chess game. In the second week of this series we will show a Faith Promise original short film as part of the message to help everyone better see the spiritual war happening all around us. As we zero in on this dark battle, let’s never forget that we’ve been given brightly burning hearts, ignited by our Lord Jesus Christ, to illuminate everyone with His great love and forgiveness!

Pray for Charlottesville; pray for the Knoxville area; pray for the United States; and beg God for a mighty move of His Church to begin healing our broken world and communities. Let’s walk in victory in the physical and spiritual worlds we encounter every day. Let’s help real people with real problems find real love!

I love you and look forward to seeing you this weekend.

It’s “At the Movies” Time!

Hello Promisors,

As July winds down and the return to school approaches, I pray you have been able to get some good R&R and make some great memories with your families. For FPC, this summer has been one of our best yet!  As I write this, we have just completed an awe-inspiring and moving biblical “virtual trip” through our Holy Land series and experienced a huge move of God among our students who attended the Movement Conference. With over 650 in attendance, 45 global baptisms and many more salvations who will follow through in believer’s baptism in the weeks to come, only our Heavenly Father can record the life change that occurred.  We give You ALL the praise, Lord! A special shout out goes to our many volunteers who sacrifice their time and gifts to love on and minister to our students, not just during these last few days, but weekly across all our campuses. I believe God is smiling big time!

Beginning this weekend, July 22-23, we are going to be At the Movies, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m sure you have noticed our campus lobbies being transformed into film sets depicting some of your favorite movies. During the next four weekends featuring Rogue One, Moana, Hidden Figures and Lion King, we will combine film and faith to inspire, encourage, and challenge everyone to encounter Jesus in their own story. Free popcorn will be included, and this is the perfect time to invite and bring your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to a series of weekends they will never forget. Children at every campus will also experience their own versions of At the Movies in fpKids. Please join me in praying that God will use us and multiply all the prayer, creativity, and work that has been put into this series to draw those who don’t usually attend.

Come expecting! I can’t wait to see all He will do!

P.S. To be a part during this innovative series, it is vital that you make it to a live experience or watch online each weekend. Due to copyright laws, if you miss the weekend, you will miss it forever!

With the upcoming launch of our Farragut Campus, our last 8:45 am service will be held on Sunday, July 23. Other Pellissippi Campus service times will remain unchanged with Saturdays at 6 pm and Sundays at 10:00 and 11:30 am.

Holy Land Series Begins June 17-18!

Hi FPC Family,

Thank you so much for all your positive emails and encouraging words regarding our recently completed series, Fixer Upper. I pray that you will follow through in using the scriptural tips and tools provided as you continue growing into all our Lord wants you to be, both spiritually and personally!

This Father’s Day weekend, we look forward to beginning our moving month-long series filmed in The Holy Land. Join us each week on a breathtaking virtual pilgrimage to Israel as we visit incredible locations where miraculous moments took place. Our journey will take us to the Valley of Elah, where David fought Goliath; Mount Carmel, where Elijah prayed down the Fire of God; the Upper Room during Pentecost; and the Dead Sea where the final days prophesied in Revelation occurred.  Each week at these historical locations we’ll discover how God simultaneously worked, and is still working in the hearts, minds and lives of people today, even though separated by thousands of years and miles.

Wow! I can’t wait to see how God uses these amazing images interwoven with His Holy Word to speak to us during the next four weeks! Promisors, bring your Dads, and let’s pack out all our locations as we celebrate Father’s Day and see a powerful move of our Father God! I can’t wait!

Pastor Chris

P.S. Remember as you are traveling during summer vacations, you can keep up with all that is happening by worshiping with us online. Also, it’s not too late to sign up for the annual Global Leadership Summit on August 10-11 hosted live at our Pellissippi, Blount, and North Knox Campuses!

Fixer Upper Begins This Weekend!

Hello Promisors,

What an awesome Mother’s Day weekend we just had! I am so proud of Michele and how God moved and used her to touch so many of our FPC ladies in various life circumstances. A big thank you goes out to everyone who faithfully served and made this weekend so special for our Moms across all our locations!

On May 20-21, we begin an impactful new series called Fixer Upper which deals with personal growth and achieving your full potential. Many of you are familiar with the HGTV show of the same name, where a married couple helps homeowners find run-down, outdated homes and then renovates and refinishes them on a tight budget. Even though much repair is usually needed, when the inside demolition is completed, they all have one thing in common – a solid foundation to work with. From there the houses are framed, fixed up, and refinished into homes that don’t even resemble the original ones. Sounds a lot like how God transforms and works on us, doesn’t it? When we are saved, our faith is built on the firm foundation of our Lord Jesus, who is our Solid Rock. Then our lifetime of “fixing up” by our Holy God begins!

Join us throughout the next four weeks as we look at what the Bible says about renovating, refurbishing and refinishing our lives. And as the school year ends and vacations begin, please remember you can continue to worship with us each weekend online.  You won’t want to miss a single week!

See you this weekend!

Between the Lines Begins This Weekend!

Hello FPC Family,

I know everyone is rejoicing with me as we reflect on all that the Lord did in our 42 Easter services across our campuses. What an amazing week He blessed us with, and we give HIM all the praise! Our total attendance was 16,438, but most importantly, 331 souls accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. WOW!  Please pray protection from the enemy over all the seeds sown and that those saved will follow through in believer’s baptism. Bring your friends and family with you this weekend, April 22-23, as we celebrate baptisms together at all our locations! Can’t wait!

You won’t want to miss our culturally relevant new sermon series which begins this weekend. Between the Lines is a three-week series engaging difficult issues that surround the modern Church, developing a working worldview, and personal lifestyle choices. Navigating the things of this world is never easy. Sometimes it may even feel like there is no such thing as good news anymore. But always remember, Jesus IS the Good News! When life moves between the lines, our move is to trust God! Please join us each week as we search the Scriptures to learn what God has to say about these timely topics.

Also this weekend, all our campuses will be hosting Grouplink. For those not already in a group, this is a great opportunity to try out a group for the next four weeks without a long-term commitment. For more information and to register please click here.

Let’s keep the Easter momentum going as we continue to pray, invite, and bring the lost to experience the saving grace of our Lord Jesus!  See you this weekend!
